Spring Term Enrichment Clubs - Club Finishing Dates

Please see the timetable below for the full list of club finishing dates for the Spring Term.  

Most school run clubs, with a few exceptions, will finish during the week commencing 16th March and will not run during the last week of term.

For clubs run by external providers please refer to their individual communications.

There will be a new timetable of clubs available for the summer term.

The sign-up for summer term clubs will open during the week of 23rd March, further details will be sent to you by Parentmail in due course.

• Please note that all current sports clubs will finish before the Easter break. If your child is currently signed up for a school-run sports club, this will stop at Easter. You will need to sign them up for one of the new sports clubs in the summer term.
• The Year 3 lunchtime music club will also stop at Easter. If your child would like to continue attending, you will need to sign them up again for the summer term when the club sign up opens.
• The other music clubs will continue as normal in the summer term, there is no need to sign up again.

To ensure we can offer a broad range of clubs across the school year, all sports clubs will now run from 3:00 to 3:45pm. This change supports staff availability and recognises that an additional hour of physical activity at the end of the school day can be challenging for some children. 

Clubs are run by our staff on a goodwill basis. To ensure the enjoyment of all, please ensure that your child has a genuine interest in the activity being offered before you book them in. If you require childcare, we have an onsite Childcare Club which runs until 6:00pm. Information about The Childcare Club is available The ChildCare Club

Please note, many of our clubs are very popular and places cannot be guaranteed for all children that sign up. Places are randomly selected, this is not done on a “first come, first served” basis. If we are unable to accommodate all children in a particular club, a waiting list will be set up.

Some clubs may be split so that certain year groups will attend for a half-term at a time.

To aid the administration of our clubs, please do not sign your child up for multiple clubs on the same day and the same time.

Children should be collected promptly from the front of the school at the end of the club.

Please remind your child that they are making a commitment and should attend every week. 

We would like to remind all families that if your child is unable to attend their scheduled club session, it is your responsibility to inform the school in advance. This helps us ensure the safety and well-being of all children by accounting for their whereabouts during any after-school activities they have been signed up for.

Please notify the school office (or clubs@thomasabecketjunior.org.uk) by 12pm on the day of the club if your child will not be attending.

If your child doesn't attend a club for 2 weeks in a row without notifying us they will be removed from the register and their place offered to another child.

Times Tables Rock Stars Club - this is a drop in club, no need to sign up.

Invite Only Clubs

There are some clubs that are invite only - your child will have received a separate invitation to join this club if it is applicable to them.

PE Kit

If children are attending a morning sports club on a non-PE day, they should come to school in their PE kit and change into their school uniform when the club finishes.

If children are attending an after school sports club on a non-PE day, they should come to school in their uniform and change into their PE kit.
